The ribbon was cut by East Hampshire District Council chairman Tony Muldoon, who is pictured fourth from left with district council regeneration project director Steve Pearce, Whitehill mayor Sally Pond, project lead for the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company James Child, leader of Whitehill Town Council Adam Carew, and garrison pool manager Sharon Wood.
The pool, which was left with an uncertain future after the news broke that the Army was leaving Bordon, will offer lane swimming, swimming lessons for children and will be available for community events, as well as being open to people living across East Hampshire, including Petersfield.
