ALTON Convent School’s glitzy annual sixth-form prom proved another huge success.

With the prospects of travelling, university life and work ahead of them, the girls had one last opportunity to get together before going their separate ways.

The joint event with Salesian College was held at the newly-refurbished Frensham Pond Hotel, near Farnham.

The rain held off just long enough for photographs and welcome drinks to be enjoyed on arrival.

Staff and students enjoyed a four-course dinner followed by music and dancing.

A school spokesman said: “We wish all our students every success.”
