IT was the brainwave of Bordon Junior School's new cook, Alison Courtnage, to give pupils the chance to buy fresh wholemeal bread during the winter months.
Now the bread, which is 20p a slice and made each morning by Ms Courtnage in the school kitchen, is providing a popular morning break snack for the pupils, who also have the choice of buying fruit.
