STAFF at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust show that care and compassion is their top priority, according to an independent report into to the Trust’s services.
The report, published by the Chief Inspector of Hospitals, followed an inspection in July into standards at the trust by a team of 55 doctors, nurses and senior NHS managers from the Care Quality Commission.
Thanks to the hard work of its staff, the Trust, which runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital, achieved a ‘good’ rating overall and has been judged as ‘outstanding’ for the care it provides.
This puts the Trust among the best in the country for its care and quality of services.
Mary Edwards, chief executive of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This report recognises the amazing care and professionalism that all of our staff, clinical and non-clinical, demonstrate day in and day out despite the recognised pressure on our services.
“I am very proud of all of our hard-working and caring staff. This is a tremendous vote of confidence.”
