A GREEN burial ground in the heart of the East Hampshire countryside is just one of a number of ways East Hampshire District Council hopes to generate income during the credit crunch.

If the proposals for the site - in Headley Road and on similar lines to the Southdowns Natural Burial Site at the East Meon Sustainability Centre - get the go ahead, it could provide a place for eco-friendly burials for the next 40 years.
