DESPITE hearing a warning that it could result in the closure of shops at Bordon's Forest Shopping Centre, Whitehill Town Council planners have voted in favour of having an Asda supermarket in the town.

They voted four to one not to object to the Viking Park plan, which will ultimately be decided by East Hampshire District Council planners.
