CHILDREN from St Matthew’s Primary School in Blackmoor clowned around at the weekend to raise school funds.
Happy’s Circus, based in Eastleigh, visited the village last Sunday, with fundraising efforts contributing to the interactive screens installed in classrooms at the end of last year.
“We sold more than 425 tickets to children, parents, grandparents and friends of St Matthew’s, as well as to the wider community,” said Parents, Teachers and Friends Association chairman Lucy Brand.
“A bar, barbecue and cafe were available on the day, as well as bouncy castles, hook a duck, hoopla and coconut shy entertainment.
“Happy’s Circus provided two hours of entertainment, including aerial acrobatics, jugglers, whip cracking and comedy performances from Ringmaster Ross and Pip. The feedback has been amazing - everyone really enjoyed the whole afternoon and family atmosphere created. We will arrange for Happy’s Circus to visit again in the future.”
