Haslemere Educational Museum has declared its summer programme of sea-themed activities a resounding success.

Its marine-inspired events were rounded off with a busy family Lego challenge and a children’s shell-crafting session. Children invoked seaside memories by making creatures out of shells.

“We’re so glad families have enjoyed our programme for the school holidays,” said Kay Topping, the museum’s education officer.

“Along the way, children have learnt about the fascinating variety of fish and mammals which lurk beneath the waves.”
