This February half-term, families are invited to investigate the wildlife at Haslemere Museum as part of The Twitchers Museum Adventure, organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books.

The egg-citing national family trail celebrates the release of Feather, the latest book in the Twitchers Series from bestselling children’s author MG Leonard.

Children can join birdwatching detectives the Twitchers and explore the amazing birds and animals in the museum.

They can find the feathered friends hidden in the museum’s collection and make a family pledge to protect local wildlife.

There will be free activity sheets and those who complete the trail will get a free Twitchers sticker.

More than 50 museums across the UK will be taking part over the February half-term and encouraging families to enjoy a visit to their local museum.

The activity will run from February 10 to February 25. There is also a chance to enter a competition to win a bundle of books in the Twitchers series.

The Twitchers Museum Adventure is just one of the family activities at Haslemere Museum this half term.

There will also be a handling session looking at objects in homes from the past, as well as a Mardi Gras-themed family craft activity and a session about hippos for five to 11 year olds.
