Due to increased demand, the Haslemere Hunter Centre, which supports those living with dementia, is now open four days a week.
Operations manager Elaine Clement told The Herald: “The extra day was introduced on April 5, with the day centre going from strength-to-strength since it opened last year.
“We have many referrals from different sources coming in each month, which we believe is due to the care and attention they know they will receive from the team here at the centre.”
The Hunter Centre also runs a dementia carers café on the fourth Tuesday of every month, where carers can seek advice and support.
People from across East Hampshire and South West Surrey have regularly attend the centre since its opening last summer.
The day care facility operates from 10am until 4pm at The Marjorie Gray Hall, in Grayswood Road, Haslemere, and is now open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. For more information visit www.thehunt ercentre.co.uk
