SUSSEX Wildlife Trust need your help to raise £110,000 so it can expand one of the UK’s most important nature reserves and create more space for wildlife.

The land near Ebernoe Common was once part of an ancient woodland called Forest Copse which was felled around the time of the Second World War. The soil of this field still has a ‘memory’ of that woodland, shown by the bluebells and oak saplings in the field.

The UK has lost 97 per cent of its wildflower meadows, and many woodlands. To help fix this and restore both wildflower meadows and ancient woodland click here to find out more and donate.
