THE family business of Hollywater hen breeder Suzie Baldwin is going from strength to strength, with a television appearance to add to her writing career.

Suzie, who has written two books, appeared on Channel 5’s The Saturday Show to give her tips on chicken keeping.

The author, who runs Hollywater Hens with her husband Trevor, helped by their four children, joined presenters Matt Barbet and Gaby Roslin, and fellow guest Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley, on the show on March 23.

“It was great fun,” said Suzie, a columnist for Country Living magazine. “I just wish it was me on Tony Hadley’s lap and not the chicken.

“I was clean for the day and treated like royalty.”

Suzie’s television appearance followed another celebrity encounter last year, when television presenter Phil Spencer visited Hollywater Hens and bought six chickens.
