WHEN Parkinson’s disease left him struggling to leave his home, Kingsley man Alan Edbrooke lamented the loss of life as he had known it.

But this was before Hamlin, his beautiful golden retriever, bounded into his existence and helped him to rediscover the simple pleasures he had previously enjoyed.
