Picnic-perfect weather greeted the huge crowd that amassed for Liphook’s Platinum Jubilee Picnic on the Millennium Green on the bank holiday Thursday.
Hundreds of families, friends and neighbours came together for the big community celebration, bringing picnics, beverages, deckchairs and blankets to mark Her Majesty’s historic 70 years on the throne.
The theme was ‘Seven Decades’ and many entered the fancy dress competition, with prizes awarded in the following categories:
- dress in your favourite decade
- as an individual dress in your favourite decade
- as a family or group best picnic set-up
- best homemade Jubilee picnic blanket made from recycled material (no specific size required).
