THE CRIME map for the Bordon area has been updated with figures showing that offences fell from 115 in May to 82 the following month.

A third (28) involved violence or sexual offences while criminal damage (15), anti-social behaviour (9) and vehicle crimes (8) also appeared high on the list.

The title for most “crime-ridden” area is shared between Birch Close and the Shell petrol station with five apiece.

Three of the offences recorded at the latter involved shoplifting while crimes involving violence, criminal damage and theft were investigated at the former.

Whitehill was quieter with eight crimes being recorded in the area between Liphook Road, Malmesbury Road, Forest Road and Petersfield Road during the month.
