Alton Town Council has said no decisions have been made about how its £250,000 Kings Pond fund may be used.

Resident John Quincey asked the council on February 1 if it included £40,000 for a concrete-edged Tarmac path around the pond.

The council said: “The council has not specified what the funds set aside for the pond will be spent on as the draft management plan has not yet been adopted.

“Cllr Matthew Bayliss has already requested that the draft plan be reviewed further to consider the inclusion of wider issues not currently included, and paths will be added to that.”
