It was 25 years ago that Life Church and the other Petersfield churches, along with the EHDC, raised £120,000 to convert and furnish the Courtyard building into a Youth Club.
Many of the first volunteers and donors came from the churches, for which we are very thankful.
Since then the whole community has welcomed an organisation that puts the future of young people first. Huge donations have enabled us to buy the King’s Arms (KA) own building, 20 Dragon Street.
For most of the 25 years, since its beginning, KA has received funding for young carers, children with special needs, anxious school children and more.
However, the charity sector has been very challenged this last year and the King’s Arms has needed to appeal for extra support locally.
Children from Alton, Petersfield and Horndean all rely on the essential services of this project and it is these same children who now need our help.
Would you give your time as a volunteer, your service using your skills or financial support through a standing order? We are asking 1,000 local people come forward and donate £25 to celebrate our silver twenty fifth anniversary.
Listen to what young people themselves have said:
“I have fun in a safe place and have people to talk to”
“I love the KA crew, if it wasn’t for them I would have ended my life”
If you would like to be one of 1000 legacy makers please donate £25 at
