AROUND 45 Scouts and Guides took to the woods for a litter-picking session.
The clean-up was organised to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and was led by Liz James, representative for Girl Guiding in the Petersfield Division, and Guy Townsend, Scout leader in Bordon.
Eco-ranger Jamie Cummins guided them around Deadwater Valley.
Cubs and Guides were given green plastic jackets, a grabber and gloves.
After a safety chat, it was into the woods where finds included glass bottles, cans, crisp packets, a sofa, a coat rack, a tyre, a cone, a keyboard, a toilet seat and a sun lounger.
"The young volunteers were surprised at how much rubbish they saw and what people dump in the woods they play in," said Ms James.
