FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house fire in Forest Road, Bordon, after a log burner got out of control.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service firefighters were dispatched at 10.24am last Tuesday after a 999 caller reported a fire in the lounge of a semi-detached bungalow.

“We sent one crew from Bordon and one from Rushmoor and they found a fire in the living room involving the log burner,” a Fire Service spokesman told the Bordon Herald. “Two firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the property and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.”

No-one was injured.
