A PARISH councillor has been given a mandate to relax after 38 years of serving his East Hampshire community.

Andrew Luff may have been the longest-serving parish councillor in the district as he joined Headley’s in 1984.

The former HPC chairman, who joined the council seven years after moving his business to Headley, was given a glass plaque by colleagues in thanks for his service.

“We’re extremely grateful to Andrew for his long and dedicated contribution over many years,” said HPC chairman Anthony Williams.

“We look forward to seeing him and will miss working with him.”
