OAKHANGER village green came alive on Sunday for the village’s traditional May fayre.

Finella Kilner, from the Oakhanger village hall committee, said the event went very well and, thanks to some lucky weather, was well attended.

There were all the traditional favourites, including Maypole dancing, stalls, a barbecue, and a raffle, as well performances from the Hilary Bishop School of Dance, the Alton Concert Band, and the Flames Cheerleading group from Bordon’s Phoenix Theatre.

“It was a fabulous day and everybody had a great time,” Ms Kilner added.

More than £2,000 was raised on the day for the upkeep of Oakhanger village hall.
