FEARS were expressed this week that one of the last open spaces in Bordon - where it had been hoped a cinema, bowling alley and restaurants might be located - is about to be zoned for housing development by the district council.

Whitehill mayor Adam Carew expressed his "total opposition" to what he fears are the first steps of plans for housing development at Viking Park.
