MOORLANDS Lodge nursing home was visited by Haslemere mayor Simon Dear.

Cllr Dear said: "It was a real treat to join the folks at Moorlands in Hindhead in their run-up to Christmas, including meeting the reindeer laid on for the residents to admire. The facilities are clearly first-class and the contentment of all those living there who I spoke to is testament to the kindness and professionalism shown by all the staff to the people in their care.

"I’m also reminded a lot of those staff, like so many in similar roles, devote some or all of their Christmas to their residents or patients."
