MILLAND Community Shop organised a Christmas fair in the village hall.

Actor Hugh Bonneville opened the fair at 11am. Thirty stalls attended, selling food, drink and Christmas gifts for all the family. More than 250 people went along to support the day.

A total of £2,000 was raised for Over the Moon, a charity set up in 2008 to help families who find it hard to meet the financial requirements of their sick or disabled children.

The shop also held a week of activities to celebrate its tenth anniversary, which included painting competitions by children at Hollycombe School.
