EAST Hampshire MP Damian Hinds will attend a relaunch event for business networking group Liss Connected on Wednesday, September 20.

The group will meet at a new, permanent venue in the Triangle community centre in Liss, four miles north of Petersfield, from 11.30am to 1pm.

Business people are invited to come along and meet up in an informal environment. Light refreshments will be provided.

Set up in April 2015, the group is open to Liss businesses, with a joining fee of £2 per month, mainly to cover the costs of running the meetings.

A new management committee is taking shape, comprising chartered accountant Sarah Redfern, Nicola Green of Liss-based Norad Travel Group, Abode owner Ruth Gest, Keith Budden of Hampshire Website Development, and PR professional-turned-jazz singer Keren Burney.

Ms Redfern said: “We are all very excited for the relaunch of Liss Connected at its new permanent home in the Triangle.

“Our aim is to promote the buying local ethos in the village and to raise the profile of as many Liss-based businesses as we can.”

A Liss Connected spokesman said the group was grateful to designer Martin Wells, of MRW Creative, who has provided a new logo that represents business and community together.
