WITH only a few days to go before the planning permission has to be renewed, East Hamp-shire District Council has still to find a private partner to help run Heatherley Natural Bur-ial Ground, near Head-ley, which is awaiting its first burial.
Unless the council acts quickly, it could lose what will be the only natural burial ground in the area.
However, there is a glimmer of hope. A spokesman for the district council told the Bordon Herald this week that there were plans for a discussion with an experienced operator "who has expressed an interest in running the site on the council's behalf".
