AFTER a bumpy ride, Mill Chase Academy began a new era this week with the appointment of its first permanent headteacher in over a year. Paul Hemmings became principal on Tuesday, after the school saw five people holding the position during 2013. The new continuity is thought to be key to the ongoing improvements outlined by the University of Chichester Academy Trust, which took the school under its wing last year.
