The landscapes and stunning views in the South Downs National Park.

What do you think the biggest issue facing residents is?

The collapse of the criminal justice system closely followed by the NHS and care for the elderly.

In a sentence, why do you deserve the job?

With our unfair and undemocratic electoral system there is no way anyone other than the Conservative candidate can get the job, whether they deserve it or not. No wonder the youth in East Hampshire cannot be bothered to vote.

What book or books should everyone read?

1984 by George Orwell.

Where did you last go on holiday?

I can’t remember. If you live in Bohunt Manor why go on holiday?

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A naval officer.

When was the last time you used public transport?

I travelled by train to London just over a year ago. I can’t remember when I last saw a bus in Liphook.

If someone wanted to eat out in East Hampshire, where would you recommend?

The Deers Hut, one of the best gastropubs in East Hampshire.

What do you hope to get for Christmas?

That would be telling. How about a voucher for dinner at the Deers Hut with a politician campaigning for proportional representation?

What do you do to switch off from politics?

Fly my model aeroplanes or go for a walk in Radford Park.
