THE integration of the existing and new residents who will live in Whitehill and Bordon as it grows in size over the next 20 years is one of the main aims of the Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership.

The Partnership, which is made up of voluntary representatives who live or work in the town, was founded in 2006, by Whitehill Town Council, as a consultative body to represent the views of townsfolk on the redevelopment of the town.

According to its chairman Curtis Brown, the Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership is working to an estimate of the town population doubling by 2035 - the anticipated finalisation of the town regeneration project, which will see the building of 3,350 homes, schools, a relief road and a new town centre with a cinema and leisure centre. The creation of new sports pitches, a health centre and a nursing home are also planned.
