THE pens should help them do even neater work - winners of the Bordon Junior School Writing Awards proudly display the prizes they received from headteacher Michele Frost.
The writing awards are designed to help improve the standard of "penmanship" throughout the school, which takes pupils from the ages seven to 11.
The awards are held every term, with one winner being chosen from the eight classes.
The project is proving to be a great success and, with both a pen and a certificate awarded to the winners, the awards are encouraging pupils to take extra care with their writing.
