A SELBORNE man fell to his death at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital having been admitted following a drug overdose, an inquest has heard.

Robert Thompstone, 76, died after he fell from a window at the hospital on the morning of Monday, December 3, 2012.

He had been airlifted to Basingstoke Hospital on the previous Friday (November 30, 2012) after he was found unconscious in his car in a lane in Hawkley, with empty pill packets on the seat beside him.
