Residents of a Bordon estate have embraced the spirit of 1945 by coming together for a community street party.
New Heritage residents gathered on Cobbett Square on Saturday, May 3, for a VE Day picnic and street party with a host of stalls and fundraising events planned.
And although the rain sadly affected proceedings, there was still plenty of street spirit on show with members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community serving up free portions of biriyani to residents.
The event took place a week after The New Heritage Residents group held a litter pick with more than a dozen people taking to the streets for a clean-up.
District and town councillor, Adeel Shah, was among them with several bags of rubbish being filled.
