THE planning application for the first development of Whit-ehill and Bordon's "Green Town" was submitted this week to East Hampshire Dist-rict Council, paving the way for the first 100 homes of the new town, and the creation of 100 jobs.

The Green Town is the successor to the eco-town, which had been announced in 2009 and was funded by money from the previous (Lab-our) Government.
