The wheels are firmly turning on plans to turn a disused car park in Bordon into a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
Whitehill Town Council has submitted a planning application to turn the fenced-off site at Mill Chase recreation ground into a facility that will “deliver significant community and environmental benefits.”
The LED floodlight MUGA will measure 34 by 23.5metres and will be surrounded 3-metre-high mesh fencing if approved by East Hampshire District Council.
The facility will have markings for a range of sports including football, basketball, netball and tennis with the scheme being a long-held aspiration of WTC.
