POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery in Bordon.

At around 11pm on Tuesday, June 19, the 27-year-old victim was cycling along a path on a grassed area between Ennerdale Road and Ullswater Close behind the One Stop shop.

The victim was attacked by two males who stole £50 cash from him, and left him with minor injuries.

Detective Constable Ewan Gardner said: "Fortunately, the victim did not receive any serious injuries but he has been left very shaken by what has happened to him.

"I would like to reassure residents that incidents like this in Bordon are extremely unusual and that we believe this was an isolated incident.

"However, I would remind people to take sensible precautions when walking around at night, such as keeping to well lit areas.

"I need to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw the offenders on the grassed area."

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old youth, both from Bordon, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are currently on police bail.
