THE eco-station in Whitehill and Bordon is being given a new lease of life after two years as an exhibition centre and consultation venue.

East Hampshire District Council has leased a wing of the eco-station to Hampshire's Police and Crime Commissioner, and police officers and staff will start moving into the building in phases, using it as a drop-in base from now until they complete the transition in spring 2015.

The move follows the closure and sale this year of Whitehill police station.
