ST John the Baptist Church, in Greatham, held a Christmas fair at the weekend.

Carol Rudd, secretary on the parochial church council, said the event saw a “steady stream” of visitors and generated £170.

The idea of the fair was to show off both the church and neighbouring church centre to remind the community of the venues on offer in the village.

In that respect, it was a success and has led to the parochial church council planning for a similar summer event.

Saturday’s fair saw stalls selling needlecraft, patchwork, jewellery, dog jackets, gifts, plants and more.
