Portakabin is upping sticks with a move up Budds Lane ticking all the right boxes with planners.

East Hampshire District Council has granted the firm temporary permission to relocate 80 of its modular units to the Parade Square site in the new town centre.

Some 46 will be at ground level while the remaining 34 will be double stacked at the site between Havannah Way and Sandhurst Block.

The applicants have been forced to up sticks due to the imminent redevelopment of Whitehill & Bordon Enterprise Park with 146 homes earmarked for the site.

The firm opened a visitor centre on the park in 2016 while their move to Parade Square is a short-term measure, with a more permanent home sought.
