IT has been rumoured newly wed Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will attend a wedding in Churt this weekend.

The presence of the royals at the wedding of Charlie van Straubenzee, 30, and Churt girl Daisy Jenks, 27, this Saturday (August 4) was confirmed by royal photographer, Tim Rooke, on Twitter.

Along with confirming the location and date of the wedding, Rooke also claimed Prince Harry would not only be attending the ceremony as a guest but acting as Straubenzee’s best man.

The Van Straubenzee family have a long history with the royals, both Harry and Charlie attending Ludgrove prep school in Berkshire, and brother Thomas van Straubenzee being named as Princess Charlotte’s godfather.

The long time photographer of the Royals, did not give any further information regarding the wedding, but speculation has been rife, with several news outlets speculating on the location of the wedding, and whether Prince William and Kate Middleton would also be visiting Surrey - cutting their family holiday in Mustique short.

It is still unclear whether the ceremony will actually be held in Churt at St John’s Church, or at the larger St Mary the Virgin in Frensham - which is being alternatively claimed by Twitter account @ChurtLife.

Rooke’s disclosure on social media was met with a mixed response, some claiming the wedding should remain “private”.

Coincidentally the wedding falls on the same day as the new Duchess of Sussex, Meghan’s 37th birthday, August, 4.
