A VISIT to Bordon Junior School last week by "natural story teller" Nick Briscoe has left pupils "all fired up" said deputy head, John Riley.

The school is trying to encourage imaginative writing among pupils this term and Mr Briscoe spent three days at the school captivating children with his stories.

He also talked to them how to construct stories and develop characters and how to use their imagination to make the plot come alive. Mr Briscoe even roped in parents for a teaching class to show them how they can help their children with creative writing and, said Mr Riley: "All of a sudden the whole thing took off.

"It has certainly fired up the pupils to do some imaginative stories.

"But one of the main things he showed them was that what might have thought was not possible is possible and that they can become writers
