HOUSING provider Radian has contributed £1,500 toward the cost of staging this year’s Whitehill and Bordon Summer Activity Day.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 13, from 10am to 4pm at the Forest Community Centre in Bordon.

The summer activity day is an event for townsfolk and is organised by volunteers from the Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership to encourage residents to get involved in clubs and activities that they might not otherwise try.

Last year’s Activity Day attracted more than 1,000 visitors, and the organisers are hoping to attract more people this year.

Associations, leisure groups, dance classes and sporting clubs have been invited to provide free fun and interesting family activities.

Radian will run a free raffle with prizes offering activities donated by businesses in the Whitehill and Bordon area.

The Eastleigh-based housing group will also take along its new Wellbeing Wagon, supported by health agencies who will offer people free help and advice.

Susi Drummond, Radian’s community development worker in Whitehill and Bordon, said: “Our residents love attending local events like this so we are more than happy to get involved.”
