VISITORS to a beauty spot in Bordon were treated to a day of flipping good fun.

If you went down to the woods on Pancake Day then you wouldn’t have been surprised to find the Deadwater Valley Trust team.

Rangers organised a morning of free activities for families in the Bordon Inclosure to coincide with half term term and Shrove Tuesday.

Children were encouraged to add toppings to a cardboard pancake and were given a chefs hat to wear as they followed an ingredient trail through the woods.

There was also a race with entrants putting on high-vis vests, rubber gloves and flipping their pancakes in a dash for the finish line.

The reward was the chance to cook their own over a fire before tucking in under the trees.

The morning was a record-breaker with town mayor Cllr Leeroy Scott serving the first of more than 70 pancakes.
