EAST Hampshire's prospective Tory parliamentary candidate has backed the idea that the people of Bordon should be asked if they want an eco-town before any large-scale development takes place.
But Damian Hinds, who will be standing for the seat currently held by Michael Mates in the general election, said the referendum must be "genuinely open-minded" and not just for the town but also for the surrounding areas.
