BORDON'S Phoenix Theatre is facing a crisis after receiving a "bombshell" rent-rise letter which has put its future in doubt.

Director Jane Dawes said: "For years we have been paying the Ministry of Defence a peppercorn rent of £250 and we thought it would be the same when we renew our lease next year."
