Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm September 8 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Liphook, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A3, from 8pm September 12 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Horndean to Weston, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversions via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm September 19 to 6am September 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Berelands to A3M, junction 2, carriageway and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via local authority network.

• A3, from 8pm September 20 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Queen Elizabeth Park to Horndean, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversions via National Highways network.

• A3, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Berelands, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
