Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A3, from 8pm May 7 to 6am July 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Sheet, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A3, from 8pm July 11 to 6am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

• A3, from 8pm July 14 to 6am July 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Berelands to Sheet, Lane closures for electrical work.

• A3, from 8pm July 16 to 6am July 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel repairs, diversion via Highways England network.

• A3, from 9.30am July 20 to 4pm July 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Liphook and Upper Hammer Lane, diversion for HCC drainage work.

• A3, from 6am July 25 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hazell Grove to Bramshott, diversion route only for Southern Gas Networks works.

• A3, from 8pm July 25 to 6am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Berelands, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
