Drivers in and around East Hampshire will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A3, from 8pm September 26 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Berelands, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing, diversion via National Highways network.

M27, from 8am September 18 to 8pm October 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load Movement, Tilbury Essex to Gosport.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A3, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3M southbound, Chalton to junction 2, Lane closures for CCTV works.

A3, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound and southbound, Hindhead Tunnel, Contraflow for tunnel maintenance, diversion via Highways England network.

A3, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Gravel Hill, slip road closure for horticulture work, diversion via National Highways network.

A3, from 8pm October 14 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 northbound, Sheet to Liss, Lane closures for drainage work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
