A SHOPKEEPER was threatened in a robbery at Holybourne Village Shop on the morning of October 7.

Police have released a CCTV image (pictured) of a hooded man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place between 6.25am and 6.35am.

The man entered the Holybourne shop and post office on London Road and threatened a member of staff to open the tills. He then stole cash before leaving the shop and riding off on a pedal cycle towards Alton.

He is described as being around 6ft tall and of skinny build. He was wearing a full facial covering, a maroon coloured hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, light trousers and light trainers.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 44210402282 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
