Plans to replace a pair of uninhabitable houses in Greatham with three terraced homes have been submitted to the South Downs National Park Authority.

Jim McCann wants to demolish the Sharon and Duet semi-detached properties on Longmoor Road as they’re rundown and unfit to live in.

According to the design and access statement the internal floors are crumbling while the corrugated iron roof was recently removed due to fears of collapse.

The applicant has applied to replace the pair with a trio of three-bedroom properties with the proposals also including provision of six parking spaces.

He also says the proposed development will be more in-keeping with the village’s rural nature, for more details or to comment on the scheme visit https://shorturl.at/4givC
