Santa has once again been seen on the streets of Farnham, bringing Christmas cheer to one and all and helping raise more than £4,000 for Farnham Foodbank.

This year’s Santa’s Sleigh tour of Farnham featured for the first time an electric milk float converted for the purpose of transporting Santa through the town, organised by Farnham Round Table.

Many hours have gone into making the sleigh ready this year, with contributions from Farnham Town Council and solar car park company 3ti Energy Hubs towards a new battery for the converted electric milk float as well as a lovely bench made by Men in Sheds.

The mayor of Farnham, Councillor Alan Earwaker, joined Santa and the elves of Farnham Round Table for a sleigh ride through The Chantrys in the days before Christmas.

Round Table chairman, and chief elf, Nigel Davison said: “There are many volunteers that made this happen, but in particular we should all thank Round Tablers Andrew Patience and Mark Potter for their considerable efforts in making the sleigh road worthy and suitably festive for this year’s routes.”

Many of the elves that support Santa’s Sleigh tour every year come from local schools and scout groups.

Not only have they enjoyed the festive event but they also helped the Round Table raise more than £4,000 for Farnham Food Bank this year, thanks to the generosity of the public.

Farnham Round Table is a bunch of 18 to 45 year old guys who like to do fun activities and also put on great events for the community.
